A burner won't light — what's causing it?

Engineer's advice

First, check whether the gas nozzle is blocked. This is a fairly common issue. When it gets dirty, gas cannot flow and the burner will not work.

If the electronic ignition is not firing, the problem could be the switch or the control unit.

So, try lighting it manually with a match or a gas lighter to test whether the burner itself is working.
