The dryer is very noisy — what's causing it?

There are several possibilities. It could be caused by a foreign object that has accidentally ended up inside the machine, or worn drum bearings or motor bearings.

A frayed belt or tensioner should also not be ruled out, nor a faulty cooling fan.
