Dryer: Clean the filters after every cycle

Engineer's advice

Tumble dryers require particular attention on one point: cleaning the filters after every use, because they tend to clog up easily.

During the drying phase, garments shed small textile fibres that settle on the filter.

Without proper maintenance, the machine will perform worse and worse, going from a perfect dry to returning clothes still damp.

In addition, some of this debris can block the condenser, which, if not perfectly clean, will make the drying cycle ineffective.

The consequence: the appliance will need to be collected, stripped down and given a deep clean.
